Es 9:18-19

Esther 9:18-19
KJV(i) 18 But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness. 19 Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.

2001 Translation Esther 9:18-19

18 The Judeans in the city of Susa also gathered for rest on the fourteenth day, then they celebrated on the fifteenth day with joy and gladness. 19 And because of this, all the Judeans who were scattered outside [of Judea] still celebrate the fourteenth day of Adar as a happy day, during which they each send food to their neighbors.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

18 We need to make time to celebrate and worship the Lord. We need to worship with a glad heart, it is good for our soul.

19 Not all Jews celebrate this but many still do, it is to remind them of what happened and how the people were saved, the Jews who don’t, don’t because of it not being commanded to celebrate.
